My first post on here fellow GN nuts, I am adding an autometer temp gauge while building my new tranny and am trying to figure out where to drill and tap the new T/A Performance deep aluminum pan, I don't have the tranny here in my shop, getting built now, but I would like to get this done so the shop can bolt it on when they are finishing the tranny. Thanks Guys! Kwik 6

I put my sender in the drain plug hole so I did not have to drill the pan. My drain is on the side of my aluminum pan so it does not hang down.

Not a bad idea at all.

It is a 5/8-16 to 1/2" Aluminum NPT Mechanical Temp. Adapter, Part number 2273. U will need to get a specific drill bit to tap the hole for the adapter. Let me know if u need you the drill size, I can find it tomorrow. It is an awkward size drill bit and expensive bit for this one time use. I brought my bit from amazon for like $22 (cheapest I could find it) . You will also need a 1/2in. NPT tap. It is quick and easy work, but with the purchase of both bits will be an extra $40 or so extra.

The adapter can be ordered from summit racing or ebay. It is made by autometer.

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread but...

TRCustoms,
I noticed the aftermarket shift cable that you are using....is it working properly on your car? I have been having problems with mine for 2yrs and have not found a good replacement that lasts yet. What shift cable and bracketry are you using, can you provide part numbers? I would like to see more pics up close and if you have any pics showing it hooked up to the shifter itself, thansks
