tranny ?

I hear a clunk when i put it in gear.I thought it might be just a universal joint till i took the driveshaft off and the tail shaft on the trans is sloppy .What does this indicate.It still drives normal! thanks John!

My car did the same and I replaced the rear tranny mount. It was pretty beat up and caused my clunking...

It's normal to have play in the output shaft with the driveshaft yoke removed. No problem there.
