ok who can explain this to me?

if the point of a high stall converter is A.) to allow the engine to get into it's power band and B.) allow you to build boost at the line, but if you where really only concerned with the latter then would not a trans brake serve you better w/ it unlimited boost building ability and then could you just use a lower stall speed converter for cruising? or is there some thing big here that i'm missing? Please explain, or is this though of mine correct?

It leaves in a chassis neutral condition. Converter will allow you to build boost by being in the power band, and assists in building boost. Trans brake will allow you to do it without the chance of car moving. Remember , tho a car with stock suspension or design there of, wants to leave loaded. The only time a brake should be used is with a "chassis" type car . You can do it with stock but be prepared to spend ALOT of time getting it right. Hope this helps.
