The trans cooler I had was not hooked to the Radiator at all the lines went to the external cooler only....now to the ?......is this the correct or should it also go to the Radiator as well..........thanks in advance for you expert ADVICE..................

It might of been by-passed because the radiator cooler may be contaminated. You should be fine.
 
Not for sure its been like that since I bought this car a year ago, I was just wondering if this will work sufficient enough not going to the Radiator.
 
When most people install an external cooler, they bypass the radiator anyway. Nothing to worry about and if you want to, you can always install a small fan onto the tranny cooler. In fact, think of it this way, you have less heat being transfered to your engine coolant and vice versa.
