I am getting ready to I hope finally get time to install my new trans and trans cooler. I was looking at mounting the cooler on the passenger side on the radiator core on some 1 inch aluminum tubing bolted across the core support. Maybe paint it all black to make it less noticeable. I am still hung up on how to tie into the cooler lines. I want it to look as factory as possible. There appears to be a junction block on the side of the radiator for the cooler lines . I wonder if I can get fittings to attach there and may run one new line all the way to the trans or maybe tie back into the stock line?

just did one for a friend

He has a large 11X11X1.5 cooler with 1/2 in. pipe thread openings. He mounted it onto the cross braces (hot air car) in front of rad. Just before the trans lines get to the rad. there is a 5/16 in. tubing union. We disconnected the old lines @ that point. From that point I bent new 5/16 brake line tubing (pre double flared 16 in. long, can buy @ any auto store) and using the necessary adapters @ the cooler run new solid steel lines instead of hose. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip !!
What kind of fittings did you use on the cooler ?
I think I have the same one.
You mounted it to the X braces ?
What did you use to attach it ?

Take a look at the bracket for this particular cooler. It will give you an idea on how to create something that could easily fit. The bracket is attached to the crossmembers with U-bolting.

Neat little setup although not worth the amount of money for the kit. I am sure the core is probably not worth more than 50 bucks. Add cutting and drilling some holes in a plate to make the mounting bracket probably another 30 dollars in time used. Hoses probably not more than 20 bucks a peice. I figure for less tan half the price you can easily make one.

Add a fan and control it with a thermostat. Hmm..
