Question for the board.
A fellow local hotrodder yesterday was telling me that he managed to retain much cooler temps in his trans by running an aux. trans cooler, and NOT also runing it thru the radiator. Currently I am running my in conjunction with the radiator.
He was amking a case to me about pasing that trans fluid thru a 180 degre radiator actually contributing to the heat, not helping it.
So my question for anyone with a trans temp gauge is: Have you done a comparison running the radiator trans lines AND a trans cooler, vs. just a aux trans cooler? And what were your results?
