Thanks. Yeah, I'm still trying to get fluid out of my hair. Laying on cardboard with a pool of it around you is no fun. I even had two pans and managed to miss them both when I popped the seal on the gasket.
You can get a drain plug and nut at NAPA if you're going to weld it in, the ones where you drill a hole in the pan and put a locking nut inside the pan stick up too high inside and they often leak. The set at NAPA is around $5 and you don't have to pay shipping.
I got one from summit for 5 bucks,it does not leak what do you mean it sticks up too high on the inside if you put it towards the back of the pan I don't think it makes contact with the filter
Put it in the back of the pan not in the bottomIf you go to take the tranny out it will not sit on the jack good.It also might hit the filter on the bottomI put it at the back of the pan on the flat part as low as I could.Hope this helps
