I have a 5spd that i pulled form a chevelle that had a small block in it. It's a borg warner thats all I know. I haven't referenced the what trans it is yet. I have everything with it clutch, housing, flywheel, ect. I was wondering if it could be bolted up to a the 3.8. I see guys on the board with turbo 350's and 400's and figured it should no problem. Any info on this would be helpful. It's going in a 56 chevy and I already have the clutch pedal and I can fab the linkage. I just need to know what I need to bolt this up to the buick 3.8. Thanks K

The guys on the board running 350's and 400's are using BOP versions so they will bolt up. A manual tranny on a turbo buick motor is a bad idea. You will loose all your boost between shifts.

The other big problem is the bell housing you have is the Chevy bolt pattern. The only correct bell housing that will work with a T-5 is from a late 70's Monza/Skyhawk with the Buick V-6. Also you need to use a flywheel from a 3.8. IMO its not worth the time and money to use this transmission with a turbo.
