This is actually a ? on tranny coolers but if i put that in the title no body would look at it.

My question is, what to buy? I have no idea. I know theres the stacked type (ex. B&M summit part no. BMM-70266) and the tubed type w/ the fins(Flex-a-lite summit part no. FLX-3818 or FLX3818-6) The Flex-a-Lite comes w/ install kit and is $10 cheaper, but I will need to paint it black.

What the hell do you recommend? Or is there another one that everyone uses?

Stacked plate style are more efficient than tube and fin designs so a smaller plate cooler can do the job of a larger tube style.

The most effective location for the cooler to be is directly behind the grille in front of the condenser which is probably where you're looking to mount yours based on your paint comment. Alternatively, you could mount the cooler in between the radiator and condenser which will hide the transmission cooler and the efficiency will still be sufficient.
