Hey fellas, after taking of my trans pan I noticed the wires inside were cut and wired different than my other trans which is stock. When I got the trans I was told it had a stall in it, could this be why the wires have been tampered with??? Also I would like to know what the electrical plug on the trans controls. Thanks for any info on this

The plug/wiring is control for converter lockup and 3rd and 4th gear status to the computer. Do you have a NLU converter?

NLU means a non-lockup converter. The trans may have had one on it. Is the trans a BRF from a turbo car or something else? Can you post a picture of the wiring?
Yea it's from a t type I will post a pic soon I just got in from work

Manual lock up switch probably.... Done the hard way.

currently cutting it the F loose

On the pigtail one is 12v and the other is ground. It could be wired to kill the lock up feature for a NLU converter. Are there any unidentified switches in and around the interior? Perhaps one you think might not do anything?

Looks like a replacement torque converter lock up solenoid. The wiring on Some of them have to be spliced. Not to worry. You're ok .

No extra switches

What they did was changed the wiring so the converter will lock as soon as the trans shifts into 4th gear. The solenoid ground wire is tied to the 4th gear status switch.
Thanks for all your help bro I saw the wiring and got worried :nailbiting: Thanks a bunch
