Well after putting a new pan, gasket and filter.Somehow when I try to engage the brake by pressing the button but it doesn't even trigger the solenoid (no click noise).Did I F something up by changing the pan and filter?I still have to check the wiring and make sure I didn't break any connections to the solenoid. What else should I be looking for at this point,if indeed the wiring is intact.TIA

Alan:confused:

check power and ground to the solenoid and if it is present suspect a bum solenoid.if the solenoid is drawing you will see a bump on the tach or the interior light when depressing the button. whos brake is it?try pushing the solenoid in and out too .i got some friends in jersey city near journal square.

Thanks for the quick reply Chris.I did notice the dash tach blip a line when I pressed the button. It's a TCI one.Cool I live 3 blocks from Journal Square.I'll have to check it out in the morning and see what's up with the solenoid. Thanks again!!!:)

we always meet up at the dunkin donuts over there . anyhow the tci solenoid is junk ,made very poorly and of low quality in my opinion.i have heard of this complaint alot.if you need a solenoid give me a call got em in stock.

Ok,In checking for broken wires and anything obvious, all looked ok.I tried pushing the solenoid in(thx Chris) and seemed binded at first but it pushed in with a little more push. Now it pushes in more easily and pops back out like I think it supposed to.Anyway the brake is now working again all the way up to 15psi boost. What would cause that to happen?I'm curious.Oh,Chris the solenoid I have is a hipster's one.Sorry for the misinfo. Is this solenoid a crappy one too?

dont know much about hipsters but if it sticks again than i guess it isnt made well.

If I do continue to have problems w/ this solenoid I'll be giving you a call ASAP Chris. Thanks again.......

chances are it is NOT the solenoid, however if it is, I can warranty it for you as we are a Hipster dealer/distributer. No reason to spend more money. Have them in stock and can ship first if needed. They ( Hipster/ATD) work pretty well with us:)

Something easy to check

remove the trans brake solenoid and behind the solenoid there is a valve and spring. The valve should push in and spring back every time you push it. It can get sticky.
