Are there any changes to this kit when installing in a GN trans? Just wanna know what has to be done and what doesn't.

Do not remove the Modulated Throttle Valve Upshift spring. Will hunt between 1st and 2nd at slow speeds. Like it doesn't know how/when to shift. If you cruise right on the edge of it shifting into 2nd, it will 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 until you give it more throttle. One reason I quit removing that spring.

Only springs it wants swapped out are 2-3 valve, accumulator spring, mtv downshift, and extra spring in tv valve. Wants shims in servo, springs in 4th accumulator and 2nd accumulator. Thought it was pretty lame they don't even include a pan gasket

Put the kit in today. First off, it didn't come with the larger drill bit to drill out the hole that gets plugged so I used the provided bit and just held it in the hole a little longer. I didn't do the reverse fix because I read on this forum that it's BS. I also didn't do the servo mod, I figured it was only needed on the standard trans. I did everything else per recommendations and directions. At first I kinda had second thoughts on installing the kit and was gonna take it back and get the CK kit but I'm glad I didn't, here's why. I pulled the pan and the fluid looked good pouring on the floor and not in the drain pan. Pulled the pan off and that junk filter that was in there damn near fell out with the pan. Needless to say the filter was damn near black and there was a bunch of black powder in the bottom of the pan. The car shifted fine before everything but the shifts weren't as crisp as they were in the past, guess I know why. I'm sure the days are numbered for this trans. Hopefully I can get one more year out of it before sending it to one of our brilliant trans vendors for a kick ass build. I didn't do the enlarge mod on the front of the trans either, don't know how important that is but I guess I'll find out:eek: IMHO the b&m kit is a joke compared to even this kit. After taking a shower in transmission fluid and wearing the shit for the past few hours I gotta say I respect anyone that does this for a living every day, definitely not for me.

If anyone wants to post suggestions on changes I should make to what I currently have done feel free to do so. The pan is still empty and I have a spare pan gasket if I need to tear back into it for any reason.

Took the car out tonight. Shifts aren't hard but seem nice and smooth. THe only thing I don't like about it is that it seems to hang onto 2nd a bit longer than I like. I can go around 25mph and it doesn't shift into 3rd til around 30mph. All the other gears seem to shift at the right time. It's definitely better than the b&m kit I had installed in my iroc back in the day that's for sure. The ptc 3200 stall I have in it seems spot on for the turbo, has a nice even spool and pulls hard in upper rpm and for the most part driveability is close to a stock turbo. Very happy with the converter, no noise or chatter that I've noticed after getting the fluid flowing and shifting through the gears while sitting in the garage.
