Translator Mounting - Where?

I am about to install my LT1 MAF and Translator. I am wondering where the best place is to mount the Translator. Looking to see where others have mounted their Translator.

I would have to say behind the glove box its hidden and out of the environment

I mounted mine on the drivers side fender well forward of the windshield wiper motor.

I mounted mine in the exact place as Bryan C. ;been there about a year and works fine.

wat is this translator thing ?wat does it do and when is it necessary to install? just curious for my own knowledge thanx

The translator is a device that lets 86/87 TR owners switch to the LT1 MAF. 84/85 Hot Air owners can do this conversion if they have switched their ECM to the 86/87 model. Check into it, you might want to consider the conversion, or not. Its up to you.
