Transmission gov. spring?

Thanks to everyone that helped me trouble shoot my trans problem, now I have just one more question. The spring has come out of my gov just like everyone said. but now which side does the spring go in? There is a place for the spring on both sides, but I only have one spring. Which side should the spring go in or should there be one on both sides? Thanks for the help. Steve

The spring goes on the small, light weight. There is no spring on the heavy weight on a BQ/BRF transmission.
