Ok, got a new trans from CK and a 2400 10in l/u. No issues with the trans or converter!

The issue I am having is that the trans seems to clunk, move, or just shift really freakin hard on the 1-2 shift. I honestly think it's shifting properly, but moving slightly.

I didn't install the trans, I took it to a local shop with a lift.

What should I check for first? Trans mount? Is this something I can do on ramps in my driveway without removing the whole trans? I hate to sound ignorant, but I've just never worked on a transmission that wasn't in a race vehicle of some sort... I've always had someone else do my DD car work so I'd have someone to blame if it screws up haha!

put a jack under the mount and and see if it separates when you jack up the tranny. If not it may need a TV cable adjustment. If the TV cable adjustment was on the tight side before to make up for poor line pressure rise of a stock transmission, then having a new pump and his shift kit may make the shifts much later and more aggressive at the same TV setting. It is common for the driveshaft to clank and clunk even with new u-joints as well.
