The tranny in my TTA is starting to slip at low speeds.
When I start off from a dead stop and exlerate normally
it will go up to about two grand on the tach and then it
will start to slip until I let off and then it takes hold again.
When it does this it feels just like when you slip the clutch
in a car with a manual transmission. However, when I floor
it the car shifts normal and the tranny doesn't slip. The fluid
level is ok. Does this mean my tranny needs rebuilt ?

Thanks James

I'm far from an expert, but it kinda sounds like the convertor is toast. I think if the tranny itself slips, it would be worse at wot, not better.

hey im having the same problem. does your also slip on the downshift when you punch it from a roll? i tried the TV cable, no luck, tranny fluid level, good. i think its a band prob cuz its only on the 1-2 shift for me coming off a stop or on a downshift.

Yes, mine also slips on the 1-2 downshift only.
I'm going to try adjusting the TV cable and also
I'm going to change the fluid and filter just for the
heck of it, but I think that it is a band problem also.

Thanks James

Thanks Doug Jacobson, it was the TV cable.
I adjusted it last night and now it shifts fine.
It was only off by one notch, but what a difference
that one notch made.
