Transmission wiring stupid questions

So I looked under my car (in the process of a 85 hot air to 87 swap) and I see a loom of about 5 or 6 wires comming out of the trans. cut off on the end. obviously its the trasmission harness but i need to know where they go. did they go up to the plug on the drivers side firewall? I ran a new 87 engine harness with the 2 plugs that go into the firewall, but i don't see anywhere on the new plugs for the transmission to wire in. any help on this or maybe a wiring diagram of where the wires are supposed to go would really be helpfull. This thread may help you with Trans plug wiring, I'm not sure how the wires run back into harness. Trans shouldn't have more than 4 wires.
