Tribute to ZR1 Corvette

While here at BG we went to the Corvette museum and my bud had to take a tribute picture for the ZR1 club that was there....HA

I actually felt sorry for those ZR1 owners at the drag strip. They had to be super-embarrassed getting blown away by Buick after Buick. That big old white 4 door Buick Electra beat a ZR1 by a mile. The owner of that ZR1 must have ran and hid after that race. The ZR1 crowd stayed at our hotel and there was a red one with black wheels that was super loud... like an 8 cylinder version of an extra loud Harley. When we saw him run a high 13 with that fart can muffler sounding riced out ZR1, we almost hurt our sides laughing What douchebags!!!!

It was pretty funny watching those guys, everytime I came into the oval track to go to the lanes I would go around wide and drive in front of them just to rev the motor a little. :biggrin:

the new zr1 was sweet. I have video of it coming out of the hole spinning, hitting the rev limiter, taking a second to shift, going through the rpm range (sounded sweet) hitting the rev limiter again on the 2-3 shift, 2 seconds later hitting 3rd then coasting to a 13 something at a decent mph.

I spoke with the driver..sounded to be south african, aussie, english etc. Real cool guy ..he said it didnt have launch control? IDK it was cool to hear him powershifting the sucker.
The car had DR's on it and he could only muster a 2.03 walking it out

i dont get why GN guys have beef with vettes? zr1's are sick cars...most of them are still stock...gn are sick cars too and most of them arent stock... of course they are gonna wipe them in the 1/4 mile...but thats about it... a stock c4 corvette will handle and brake 10 times better than any stock GN or g-body any day. the beef should be with 5.Slows and f(ag)-bodys

The picture....Its a joke dude..... They are sweet cars.
It goes back to the days of ZRWhat from Conleys and such. The corvette folks at GM really got their panties in a wad with the turbo regals performance.
Corvette was the Flagship and a family car that seats 4 could.....well you know .
