The torsion bars in the trunk were Missing since I got my car, I was able to find some at the local wreck yard.

Is there any tricks to installing these ?

If anyone can post a couple of pictures of how they are mounted I would appreciate it. BTW I was able to find the torsion bars removed and were loose in the trunk when I got to it, so I was not able to see how they were mounted.

Someone removed the trunk lid on a N/A Regal.

You're in luck. I was just in my trunk tightening up some braces. Can't help you with install tricks though, never had to install these.

I have never ever seen a broken 1 or any not in a gbody and I have had about 90 of them. Supposedly the earlier g bodies up to early 80's had trunk shocks like the hood shocks

You're going to have to use a small bottle jack on the ends that go into the slots on the sides.....trust me. It's not that easy.

Use a long screw driver to pry them into place. Make sure they have torsion when you are prying them or the won't hold that trunk up. Use to have a cutlass with hydraulics and my cylinders used to knock them off and that's what i used. When you get them in place, you might need to hit them with a hammer to fully engage them in the slot.

Nice braces 626gn, I have the same ones need to install the torsion bars then I will put the braces in.

You'll like the braces. They made a noticeable difference on my car.
