Tryin to plan future mods...

Well, i've been thinking about fairly cheap mods to quicken the GN. So far(besides fuel) I've come up w/ 87 ECM(if it isnt already there...i'm not sure), ATR up + down pipes, port the turbo/exhaust housing, and maybe the heads. I dont wanna go to a bigger turbo or alky yet, so i'm looking for the smaller stuff. What has worked for u guys?

The 87 ecm is good to do at about 40.00 plus and 87 maf about 100.00 plus a good chip 30.00 used. The down pipe is the best mod that i have done at 140.00 . The up pipe i would wait on my self , it looks nice but thats it, and they are hard to get to seal right. Once you get the fuel pump, reg , and hotwire. I would try to find a cheap ta49 turbo and some bigger then stock injectors.

Filter and exhuast are pretty cheap. Weld your stock headers up good and turn up some boost. Do you have a adj waste gate if not just make yours adj. By this time you will need some really good tires .

Or just pick up a stock 87 turbo , i see them for about 200.00 all the time.

I know the intake is very restrictive. I gutted a stock intake and it worked well. Can you gut the cat convertor. Emmision testing wise.

Help me out with this one guys, i think the 84-85 will flow 340-360 cfm and the 86-87 will flow about 460 cfm. Its a pretty cheap mod that will help yea out some.
