Now my car doesnt start ticking till the car is warmed up. So im wondering if this is and exhaust leak or something internal? I tried no header gasket and the alluminum, im guessing and hoping that its the gasket. That i just need thicker ones like copper

Try to pin point it and check the exhaust, most likely an exhaust leak of some sort.

I was trying and that my guess with the exhaust leak so I have some remflex gaskets on the way from trcustoms. Will let u know the outcome. Thanks

maybe a lifter? my car used to tick a lot when i drove hard on the freeway & as soon as i got off it would start ticking. Turned out that since our cars don't have oil coolers i was heating up the oil so much it was thinning out the oil too much. Installed oil cooler & tick went away even after a hard drive on the freeway.

Hmmm interesting. Where did you get your oil cooler from? Are they easy to install? I was thinking I was low on oil at first!

I got mine at PAW but they're no longer around. Summit I'm sure sells the same one though. I got the B&M super cooler (part #70255) if I'm not mistaken. Although that cooler does not come with any lines u can probably go by your local auto parts & get oil cooler hose. You'll also need some pipe fittings. Oh! & most important part is the sandwich adapter that goes under your oil filter. Let me tell u, I saw a very big drop in oil temp from doing this upgrade ( I installed an oil temp gauge that supports that statement).

That's actually the wrong sandwich adapter! If I'm not mistaken our cars have metric oil filter threads! I'll check at work tomorrow & give u some better info! I was looking in summit & they do offer a whole kit in the derale brand, with hoses fitting & adapter. That might be the way to go for u. I used the B&M in cause it's a stacked design oil cooler & it's designed to cool a lot better.

ok going to order them now. where did you mount yours at? where did you run the lines? Sorry for all the question just want to know what im doing when it gets here

Don't order yet! I'll give u more info tomorrow so u can get the right thread size on the adapter. I'll also send pix so u can get an idea how u want to mount it.

Ok so ill look for that one. So I'm going to need metal lines similar to the one thats runs to the fuel regulator? Or do I use rubber hoses?

1/2 inch rubber hose, specifically for oil. Local auto parts should have that.
