I have read that these cars were designed originally to run alcohol or water injection. Does anybody know where the intended nozzle location was? I am planning to run methanol injection and I have a vision for how I want to do it. I would love to build it to look like the factory would have done it with nice factory appearing hard lines from a trunk mounted tank up the frame rails to the intake. since I'm digging in and doing other work, I thought I might fabricate a nice threaded bung to mount the nozzle to the intake and make it accessible and serviceable-or possibly take advantage of the factory EGR location with a stealthy EGR delete. Has anybody seen something like this done before? Does it sound like a viable option? I have been a diesel mechanic for 15 years but this is a new territory for me with its own apparent quirks and unique characteristics so any advice and information would be appreciated.
