Tubes or No Tubes??

I used to run my MT ET drag 26" slicks with no tubes and had no problems. I have been running 28" MT ET drags for a year with tubes. I just got new 28" slicks and was considering leaving the tubes out. Opinions!! Car is low 11's @ 120mph. Looking for lower reciprocating weight, but still be safe.
