Does anyone ever refer to the metal filler plate, between the trunk lid and back glass, as the Tulip molding?
On a G body of course.
 
I don’t even call it that on a female body lol.

All I know is mine is black metallic and the rest of the car is just plain black.
Original owner and original paint. I ordered the car beginning of May ‘86 and picked it up July 10. 🤷‍♂️
 
Yes they do. I looked at their site and the Tulip moldings all seem to reference A bodys.
I'm trying to place a value on the ones I have.

I purchased my car from original owner and the decklid has metallic in it from the factory also.
 
Interesting about these moldings being painted differently from the rest of the car. Seems GM guys were not on the same page.
A side note to the name of the panel. Years ago a local GM employee, here at the Oklahoma city plant, had told me this panel was the tool up panel.
I misunderstood him, should be Tulip molding.
