unfortunatly nobody wants to touch the 84 85 cars as the engine is different than the 86-87 engines so like i was, you will be on your own. i bought a good scan tool (otc monitor 4000 enhanced) and went to gnttpype.org found all the info i needed and learned from that. all there is is to set the sensors and having to reset the sensors every few months or when the engine runs rough or slower than normal. get these as spares coil, module, cam sensor, crank sensor. keep a few sets of plugs handy gnttype will tell you which plugs for which boost level will work great. then when the engine runs good there is performance parts you can put on to make the car run even better but get the car running good with what you have first. all of this is on gnttype.org, this wil be your friend.
now dont get frustrated when a change goes wrong and want to sell the car just put the change back to what you had before and move in another direction and see if it works. and dont give up...
i saw in your sig the tps-tec, is garbage and get rid of it. it will pop the headgasket.
