Who runs tuner style and do you have boost creep(also what is your psi levels).

I have heard that tuner style causes creep but why?

I do run run tuner style with a THDP and do have creep. An additional carb spring eliminates my problem, mostly.

Tuner style should not cause creep unless your wastegate hole is too small.

Personally, I do not like the tuner style because the puck starts to open sooner. A mechanical boost controller, like a ball and spring style, will eliminate the premature opening of the wastegate.

When I had my TE-44, I had boost creep. The wastegate hole had to be enlarged. I did run tuner style, no boost creep, just slow spool up.

I'm currently running mine tuner style with a bleeder. Initially I had a grainger-type valve on it in conjunction with the bleeder but it was harder to control the boost. I didn't notice any spoolup difference between this way and with the stock solenoid. I have an HD actuator that won't move until it sees 18 PSI, though. No creep either.

How much boost creep are you seeing?? Couple of things to consider before you go off and buy a grainger valve or decide to port the 49. Plump the vacuum line tee at the compressor side of the turbo to get an accurate reading. Triple check those vacuum lines as well. I like to run all thick wall rubber tubing that does not expand when pressure is applied. Some things to consider that are cheap and easy...
