Looking for the best way to tune with denatured alcohol. The chip I am using comes programmed for 23/21 spark advance and says 19-20 psi stock wastegate but I am using a hd wastegate so it will be higher. I am using the round bottle non progressive smc kit. If, one was looking for max HP/Tq how would they go about that? Start increasing the psi or the timing? Understanding that a wideband will be looked at to make sure there is correct fueling.

Getting my car ready to do some tuning w/ alky as soon as my wideband comes in the mail.....I've read the best the thing to do is small adjustments one at a time....Turn up the boost a pound at a time (watch for knock of course) and look for the MPH to increase.....Once the car stops making more MPH then look at possibly getting more agressive with the timing.....Others with more experience will chime in....Good luck!!!

My car seems to make more power with higher boost and less timing. I run 18 degrees in 3rd and I can safely run some boost. When I ran higher timing in 3rd, I ran into detonation a lot faster. My car is quite a bit faster with more boost and less timing

Interesting!! I think being new at tuning unless you really know what's going on adding timing in 3rd gear can be a bomb waiting to go off....Timing in 1st and 2nd in small increments will be where I start...
