OK I finally got meth and took the car out.
So far this is what I have recorded.
18psi Boost
0 KR
Around 824 02's

What should I do turn the boost up another 2 psi?

Thanks
Chris

2 psi... hehe.. more like 6 psi :)

If it aint knocking... keep squeezing it till you hit your comfort level.

Get the O2's down as well, adding boost will add air..thus leaning it out some more.

If you see any KR that starts to climb.. 1-3-5-9 etc.. lift the pedal and see why.. If you see knock that all of a sudden happens.. 15-9-6-2-0... thats false knock.

The higher the boost, the more stress on drivetrain.. keep fresh oil in the motor at all times, dont race it when heat soaked, plugs at .032 gap, etc...

Good luck

Thanks Razor!
Where should my 02's be? low 800's?

Also i noticed a few times when i hold the boost at 10psi the car seems to surge pretty quickly. like it puts you in your seat and then eases of then in your seat again but really quickly. at WOT no sign of this. Also at 10 the wastegate seems to let off alot of boost i mean its loud. Maybe its just me.

Stock original GM MAF or LT1/LS1 w/translator?

stock MAF. Is the LT1 Ls1 with translator a much improvement?
What gains are there with one?

Since your o2:s are so high, the problem you experience on 10 psi can be that you are getting flooded by the meth at that point ?

Get your o2:s down to 770-780 at least to begin with, just take it easy and you will see great results!

The surging your getting more than likely is due to over-fueling. The translator/LT1 sensor deal is nice, but lets get it working with what you have before making changes.

So... what cuases this, too high of a fuel pressure, chip issue, vacuum leak, air leak in the system(intercooler, hoses, etc)...

One way to check your chip/fueling is put the scanmaster on BL. Now drive the car and watch the BL numbers as you accel, decel, cruise, idle, etc... Look for numbers to be above and below 128. If all your numbers are skewed above 128.. its adding fuel to compensate.. or below..its rich...having to pull fuel out.

So... this is a place to start looking. I like all my cars to be completely smooth and transitionless into the alky. If it surges, bucks, coughs, spits, sputters, etc.. it needs tuning.

A simple cheese way of doing a fuel test is to drop fuel pressure on the regulator like 3-4 PSI and see if it changes the surge your experiencing. But doing this has drivability consequences. So it is always best to have the chips BL tables set to fuel pressure.

Your O2's are going to be high on a non-WB sensor like we have on our cars at part throttle. The 780 target only applies to WOT and time at WOT. As it takes time for heat to build up on the sensor and it to drop numbers. Hence why I always say, look at your O2's top of third gear.

Chris, you are more than welcome to call and discuss the car/issues. As posts/email is very one dimensional.

Thanks Razor,
Could it be to much meth being sprayed in? The surging was not there before the alky.
Today i will record some cruising and wot runs with my turbolink. First I still have to move the power lead to clean up the noise issue with my tlink and scanmaster.
Can I run the Red to a switch in the car that comes off the battery with a 30amp inline fuse? instead of the relay. Im not to sure on how to hook up the relay. But im sure its easy. Can i get one from an autozone if i cant do the switch?
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
Your car was/is probably running richer than it should. Adding the alky has made your problem worse.

To wire the relay, here is the pinout of its terminals.
85 ground
86 Ignition
30 Fused 20 amp from Batt/Alt
87 PAC red

I would just run a 12-14 guage wire from the Batt/alt and try it first. You dont need a T-link for this. The scanmaster will get the job done. Re-read what I posted bout the BL numbers.. start on that.. first ;)

Ok i read my blm the highest i saw was 132 and the lowest was 120. this was just cruising around.

Later when i went to about 10psi the car did its surging and the boost would go from 10-13-10-13-10-13. blm were 128 there.

Back to basics, relist your mods to turbo, IC and chip.

Is the GM MAF a reman or original. The originals will have a BW stamp on the bottom in white.

Or when ya get a chance drop me a call during the day..

Julio

OK here goes.

Stock Original MAF, TA49 turbo, Intercooler Arm, 60lb siemens injectors, rjc power plate, ported upper plenum, 3" THDP, turbotweak alky chip, Your Alky Kit!

Thats all.
