I got my alkycontrol system on running denatured with about a quart demon water in the tank too.
Started at 16 psi and at 5 on the dial plus 18% fuel via chip par 1 and it died when the alky kicked in.
Figured too much fuel. Pulled fuel back to +5 and went up to 19-20 psi since I was having zero retard with the alky off at 16. Ran there and still no knock at 3 so I added 2 more rounds on the rod . First issue boost stayed about 20
Not much iincreaser maybe 1/2 pound. made a rn at 5 zero knock but o2 was low about 700 so added total of 10% fuel o2 was about 740-750 with zero knock (bosh sensor ). Tried 3 and got .5 retard on one run at shift so left it at 5. On Street tires it's spinning the tires into second gear at least .
It's decent but not quick enough to take a new mustang.
I did a run with my dynolicous iPod app and at 3850 Est weight and 25% loss it said 380-400 hp.
1/8 mil 10.5@84-86 mph about. 3.0 60 foot.
Was hoping to get to about 23-25 boost but I seem to have hit a wall performance wise.

After reading here it looks like some are running as fast as I want at 20 psi so is it timing adjustment time to find the missing 100 or so hp?

Time to run straight methanol and get a wideband to tune with. Based on your post I would not add any timing. Add boost leave the timing alone but don't do anything till you know your a/f.

I have LM 1 I purchased from a friend unused in the box but I need to install the bung in the exhaust I guess.
I don't know if the boost will go any higher either. There are threads left on the rod, but I turned it 2 rounds and got almost no increase yesterday. It did not use much any alcohol on my play runs yesterday.
I may have 5 gallons of methanol tomorrow for it from friend.
I could dump the denatured if that's holding me back.
