Turbine Heat Blanket

Has someone used one of these DEI turbine hsg blankets with sucess/satisfaction? I'm thinking a proper coating/paint (highest temp possible) would reduce rust.Any performance improvements?

Never used the DEI brand, but I know when I was a VSI, we hardly ever sold them. Must be the design. But I know that the ones that Titan sells are pretty much the standard. Anytime you can contain the heat, it will help slightly with spool up, not to mention cutting down on heat soak.

Gotta bring this up. What are the negatives for these blankets? Do they induce cracking at all? What about the rust, do they help stop rust? And do they screw with the turbos coating durability?

What about heat soak on the CHRA? This to me seems that you stop heat coming out it will look for another avenue to go, which would be the CHRA since it is bolted to the surface, and of coarse you do not want extra heat on the bearings. It probably doesn't matter in drag racing only, but how would it perform on the street.
