Question. Probably a dumb one..What regulates the boost on these cars? I know the Adj wastegate can up/down the boost but isn't that vacuum controlled? If you don't let out of it and create vacuum then what keeps the boost at whatever you have it set to on the wastegate? And what role does the wastegate solenoid play? Just trying to "up" my knowledge here

Wategate controls the boost and simply is a puck that uncovers a port to cheat exhaust energy from going through the turbine.
That puck is connected to a wategate actuator that is tied into the compressor the boost signal...not vac...is what moves the actuator arm that moves the puck.
The factory lc2 setup icorporates a solenoid that ties into this pnuematic signal to bleed off based on chip setting.

Gotcha..So The chip will determine boost? How does the Adj Wastegate play into that?

Also what if the wastegate solenoids been removed?

ADJ wastgate changes the tension on the spring.

Chip will determine boost via controlled leak

If solenoid not used and a adj watse gate is used and its a low boost one then you can adjust the rod to about 18 psi...above that you need high boost actuator.

Seriously do some homework....this is basic basic stuff...buy some books, read some articles, etc. No downside
