Turbo 400 ??

Having an issue with a T-400. Seems that it wont Lock into park when the shifter is placed in park. Checked everything and it is in the park position, but I can still push the car around. What broke and what is needed to fix it?

parking pawl,spring or pin damaged broken.retainer unbolted or loose,linkage from rooster comb to pawl missing damaged broken.do year a ratcheting noise when in the false park position if you push it?puit it in park while going in reverse at 5 mphour.does it ratchet?

when I push the car forward or backward I do hear a dull type ratchet sound more like a square rolling in a round pipe. Also when I accelerate faster than normal I hear a screach type noise but dont hear it when taking off normal. could they be related?
Also how would I fix the Parking Pawl or do I Need to take it in?

Time to drop the pan and take a look,Most likely fixed able with out removing it,Drop the pan and take a pic,Ill walk you thru it

Thanks, I will take you up on your offer. I work for a fire Dept and start back tomorrow. I will drop the pan and get a pic to you by Sunday.
