Is there a sepcific amount of time needed to break in a new turbo? Also is it a good idea to prime the turbo with new oil berfore installing so it wont be a dry start? Thanks

hey

there is no break in time for a turbo. and the turbo comes pre oiled so you dont need to put oil in the turbo. but what u can do if u want is un-plug the ecm and crank the car over till it builds oil pressure then plug in the ecm and starter up

brent:D

Would it help to put some STP oil teatment in the turbo before starting to assure of lubrication being there ?

It is good to put some oil in the turbo on new start up. Before you start the engine synthetic 15 w50 or equiv. through the oil supply hole, then install the oil supply line.
Cause who knows how long the center section was on the shelf sealed without lube flow. So I would, they cost to much and it is a little task for security.
