Hey guys,
I got a call a little while ago from Miguel( HOT ROD GN). He was still pretty shaken. He had to save a young man this afternoon from loosing his hand. I guess what happen was something like this. There is a mechanic shop in front of Miguels Body shop. A young mechanic was using a strut spring compressor and somehow is slipped and smashed his hand. He was under the car for something like 45 mins before anyone noticed. Emergency crews were called and they thought they were going to have to cut the mans hand off. Well Miguel climbed under the car with the man screaming in pain and used his tool to cut thru the spring as well as the spring compressor to free the young mans hand. He said he was very shaken and very emotional about the whole thing. Anyone who knows Miguel knows he is a super guy. To be under the stress of the screaming and still operate the tool and not cut the man any worse then he was already hurt takes skill and a little help from GOD. Miguel is now being treated like a hero by the fireman and police.

Thank God for people like him. Sleep well tonight my friend. You did your part today.

Miguel may post here, but he was really shaken by the event. We talked for about 15 min. I guess the young man's hand is very badly injured. Fire crews had no tool to help free him.

I've only known Miguel a short time, but he is such a good guy, it feels like we've been friends much longer. He is getting married next month. His wife is def getting a really good guy.

Reminds me of when a guy caught a trash can on fire at work (full of brake clean spray). Flames to the ceiling instantly. me and 2 others stood there with stupid looks on our faces while the 4th guy threw it out the door before the plastic trash can even melted. Those who can act fast in those situations earn my respect pretty fast!
