Turbo Gasket

Converting from 84 to 87 setup and just wondering do you guys run header to turbo gaskets or just bolt the two surfaces together.i know they sell the the gaskets for them but i also see alot of people run passengers side header gaskets and found out there not supposed to have them learned the hard way.
i tried doing a search and found nothing

I use a gasket. FWIW they came from the factory without one.

I use a composite, not copper or metal, gasket like the turbo riv. used.

No filing/truing needed.

I put a TA49 on 3 weeks ago filed the flange on the header to make sure it was flush the used some cooper High temp silicone has worked out ok and no exhaust leaks they didn't have one there from the factory. If you really want a gasket Cottons has them also prob. Gbody parts should stock them

i use a T4 gasket [metal shim] along with a good healthy layer of High temp copper RTV

Go to the parts store and get a small header collector gasket for a V8, it will fit, I ordered one off ebay,thinking it was a special gasket, when I recieved it, I looked in my tool box and pulled out the header collector gasket, it was a match and better quality!
