I have been having a hard time finding the proper size gaskets for the 1984-85 hot air turbo. Everyone has something close, but I have to cut or trim to make it fit. If anyone has the part #'s for the gaskets let me know. Buick no longer stocks any. I have NAPA, Carquest, Champion auto around here. Or if know another place to get them. One is three bolt and flat the other is cone shaped with graphite. Thanks rflint@mn.rr.com

Which gaskets are you talking about? ?The throttlebody to intake? ot the one for the uppipe?

The up pipe gasket that goes between the turbo and the metal adaptor for the up pipe is the one I have a hard time finding.

I dont know what dealer told you those gaskets were discontinued but I would find one that knew what they are doing. If I understand you correctly the flat 3 holer was never used on hot-airs but you can use GM part #1261269. Still available. It was used on turbo-carb Rivieras. I am not sure but if the cone shaped graphite is the one on the turbine outlet(down pipe elbow) it is part#1262500. Sure of the part number, just not sure if thats what you are talking about. If these are not let me know.

For the Carb/Turbo's, Felpro makes a kit that contains all the gasket you could need when reinstaling a turbo. Try checking with them and see if they do a Hot Air kit.

Here you go:
Vehicle: 1984 BUICK REGAL V6-231 3.8L

Lookup Type: Group - Fuel Pump & Turbo System

Part Description Part Number Years Qty Per

FEL-PRO
Turbocharger Gasket Set
MOUNTING SET ES72660 84-85 1

Has anybody bought the FelPro set? Does it have the two big O-rings on intake adapter?

OK I finally got the special order gasket set FEL-PRO
Turbocharger Gasket Set
MOUNTING SET ES72660 84-85 1
and it "does not" have the two exhaust gaskets that I need. It came with the 2 o-ring adaptor seals and the throttle body gasket and fuel injector o-rings? but no up pipe three bolt flange gasket or the graphite donut gasket on the down pipe. Anyone else found the correct size in an aftermarket gasket? The dealer still is unable to find the correct part number and the Riveria gasket is like $40.00, thats nuts for one gasket!

gasket

For the 3 hole gasket to go between the turbo and adapter----
NAPA---part # F 20412 SG This is a nitroseal performance gasket.
For the donut gasket---I believe most muffler shops will have this gasket.

How much was the kit? Was it worth the $$ for what it did have?

The Carb/Turbo kit has the graphite doughnut (~2½") for the downpipe. It's Fel-Pro # 60240 (just the doughnut, not the entire kit). It's a pretty common part, so they may already have it in stock. I'm 95% sure it's the same part as the 84/87.

I'm no dealership parts guy ;), but when I look it up (for the Turbo Regal), I see :
SEAL, Exh Pipe........1262500 Group 3.611

Mr. Turbo

The 3 hole copper gasket for the up pipe to turbo connection is available at Limit Engineering - John Craig, Lake Havasu City.

Give him a call...he'll hook a brother up.
