Turbo grinding..

Think my turbo is starting to grind itself to death... i hear a strange slow grinding/vibrating noise at low spool ... though there is no problem with the spool up or building/maintaining boost..

Only thing ive done to the turbo is change the downpipe... unless part of my bosch o2 sensor broke ? i'll leave that as a LAST RESORT possibility, lol


Welp either way, i might have to save for another turbo.. i'd like to get a ta-49 but i dont want to deal with another '87 hackjob conversion...

can the compressor housing from a stock '87 fit, or are they hogged out on a '49 ? or does the TA-33 flow more than enough?

well from my experiences on here, everytime i ask about turbo work, my turbo regal pals on here, tell me to contact John craig @ limit engineering
i believe u can find his name on gnttype.org under vendors

i do believe he can rework your stock turbo, basically using your stock compressor housing, and put almost any sized blades/wheels inside your stock housing., he could make your stock turbo into a 33c or T49

if you are like me, and wanting to keep the stock look, i believe that'd be the best way to go, theres no way i would have a hackjob under the hood . my car deserves better then that

i would do a search of "john craig" or "limit engineering"on this message board and u will see how much turbo regal owners praise this guy, they say no1 builds a turbo like him, and he also has a warranty on his work.

i'd check it out, i know i will be sending him my turbo next month to be turned into a t33c, cuz i have an 85 national

well, **** you know what.. it tuned out the heater hose clamp was loose and started rattling, but it was real confusing, because it only made the noise while the turbo was spooling.. so i got it out of the way and no more noise! lol..stupid eh?
