I first want to thank Bison and Paul for all their help thru the process of picking out a new turbo and installing it , It cannot be said enough how helpful and patient the experts on this forum are ,
Here is my problem . I got the turbo fully installed now but my alky control is red and my turbo gauge is not moving at all . Is there something I need to reset ? what should i trouble shoot and what precautions should I take before getting on it ?
I purchased a 49 turbo everything else is in my signature

Turbo gauge?? U mean the dash bar graph? If so, it could well has taken a dump.
Alky is red? U mean the led does not go to green?
Have you looked thru the t/shooting instructions on the alky kit?

Check your MAP sensor, MAP sensor harness connection, check the vacuum lines to the MAP and the gauge if it is not driven by the MAP. If you just installed the vacuum breaks, you may have disturbed/disconnected/did not reconnect the vacuum lines.
