turbo making funny sound??

my turbo is making a funny sound when i let off the gas.its like a fluttering sound or like when you shut a lawnmower off and the blades are coming to a stop.i know its a stupid question but so am i.my first turbo car.is my turbo on its way out?power doesnt seem to be down any but i cant imagine that the sound is normal or good. thanks

I have to disagree with onefastgn. There's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people. Just kidding.

You're blocking off the throttle body when you let off the gas, so the turbo has no place to push the air. All the air pressure that you pushed past the turbo then comes back out past the turbo, spinning it backwards. As was said, its normal.

Let me guess, you just put on a K&N filter?
