Below is a picture of a remote oil filter or turbo saver. How does this attach to the engine oil filter area. I have done a search on this site but cannot find the answer. Will I need another part to get the oil to run to the remote oil filter and then to the turbo. Any pictures of where it attaches to the engine block would be helpful. thanks for your help.

Maybe some one could chime it to help but i went with a much more simpler route. Mine connects to the side of the oil pressure switch block then fabbed up to the my turbo. Red RegalT sells one thats great from what i see.

The bottom of your picture shows the "Base", it has the two lines running to it. It hooks up where your oil filter does on your engine. Make sure it has an O-ring on it. The other part that has several lines going in and out of it can be mounted behind your passenger side headlight (going to have to make your mounting base). Mount it so that you will be able to screw on the oil filter and the end of the filter will be facing the ground. From there just run the only remaining line up to the top of the turbo's center section, then just connect the line there. That is the way I mounted mine anyway.

So is there still an oil filter in the normal place on the engine block or does the "base" replace the oil filter at the block?

The base replaces the oil filter on the oil pump.Test fit oil line clearances and angles before you bolt everything up.Make sure you'll be able to get the filter off and back on once its installed. good luck
