Anyone come up with a good way to repair the intercooler scoops when they get damage from road rash?

Many just replace. Though a piece of rubber, "scabbed" over it with rivets has worked for me in the past.

I just replaced mine with a solid one but my old one looks repairable and is in overall great shape except for as noted. I would like to repair it and save as a spare.

I just got back from fleet farm where I got some 27in wide by 1/16 in thick floor protecting matt (sold by the ft.) to make a lower scoop for a Mease 15 row SLIC. If all else fails or you want one more ridgid, Dennis Kirban sells a fiberglass upper intercooler shroud and a separate lower scoop portion, or they can be purchased together.
