Turbo seal shelf life

I purchased a used "good" turbo and just installed it. It sat for around 12 months. Installed it and not I am blowing "MUCHO" smoke!
Will the seals IN THE TURBO go bad if the turbo sits for say 12 months?

No, They wont go bad. Check to make sure your return line isnt obstructed. Their cant be a low spot in it either, like a drain trap. Most of the time i see a known good turbo smoke its usually a restriction in the return line.
