On the Cheap.....With a 3k stall and those ET goals... TA49 or TE44 with Precision exhaust housing.

Thats not an easy goal without heads. You will try to turn up the boost and likely start driving into the converter fairly hard. Boost will be 30ish in good air to run 10's. Id use more compressor than a 44 has.

Agreed. I'll share my own personal experience here. Ive seen a full weight street driven GN go 11.35@118 on a TE-44 with a cheap 2800 restalled D5 and ported stock IC (no Dutt neck). That's at about 26psi. Was still stock heads & cam. My own personal GN went 11.32@118 with a TE-62 at about 30psi. Through a Dutt neck IC. On the original unopened 109 from 1986. The same setup on my GN, plus a fresh rotating assembly, Comp 210/215, and home ported irons went 10.97 @ 123 with a spinning 1.54 60'. And thats with tuning issues too and on a hurt turbo.

I'd think you'd need more tire too but that's just me. A 6262 and a decent set of heads should get you upper-mid 10s I'd say.

But if you need a turbo, Bison is the man to see. As soon as my bank account recovers, he'll be my first call.

you are going to need more turbo than the 49/44 to go high 10's unless the car is very light and your willing to push the hell out of it.i ran a 49 till it wouldn't make any more power then pushed it further with spray and it went faster (125mph@3800+lbs)so comp wheel was finished.60series turbo will cover your goals with room even on a heavy car.
