My neighbor bought a 87 Turbo T (Not limited) back in 94/95 with 4k original miles in pristine shape. The plastic is still on the seats and the window sticker still attached. The car is grey/grey with a benchseat and column shift. The options known are concert sound ,power windows, power antenna,etc.... the car is a hardtop and does not have G80. The window sticker was mid $16k. He gave $15K for the car when he bought it. I have admired the car for years and go there sometimes just to look at how nice and original it is. The car has been stored at room temp and started occasionally but rarely driven. The current miles are 4500 of which only 300 of them were since the mid 90's. What is a fair price for this car now and should the next owner expect it to climb in value? I have considered buying the car for years just to sit on it. I have many other cars to drive/race but would like to add this to my stable if the price was right. What should I offer?

I think $20K might buy it but $21K will for sure. I need to talk to him tomorrow on another note so I might poke around with him a little more.

Well, yesterday I showed some intrest in the T-Type (maybe a little to much) and he said I think she should be worth $25K. Funny thing was just a few weeks ago he said he would let it go for $21K. I just said good luck and told him that was out of my price range. Lets see if he comes back around as I don't think it is going anywhere for a while.

Maybe he was reading this thread and saw my initial guesstimate of $25k?

No worry about that,he couldn't figure out how to turn on a computer, and he would be the first to tell you that. Plus if he did see your post of $25k he would of ask me $27K or $28K

The April 2008 issue of Hemmings has a clean very low mile WE4 on the auction page that sold for 29k. They listed the average selling price at 25k.
