hey guys... put a new set of seals in my turbo... heres the problem.

its too tight now..

now.. if i loosen the compressor nut so that the wheel spins independently of the shaft.. the shaft and the turbine spin "how they should" but once i tighten the compressor nut enough to make the whole assembly spin as one piece, its back to tight. no one said anything about re-lubing parts, but, im gonna take a wild guess and say maybe the little insert that stabilizes the shaft in the hole in the backplate, which also rides against the back of the compressor wheel, might need oil?

i figured these parts would lube themselves after use.

everything else seems okay, im just having a hell of a time getting more than 10 psi boost. the same actuator on my stock turbo would create 30+ at the rod length i have this thing now. any ideas?

what did i f' up?

Are you sure you didn't leave anything out? I just finished resealing mine and no problems yet.:)

nope, there were like 4 parts..

carbon ring, spring, rubber o ring, spring retainer., and the little bushing thing that slides into a brass "C" shaped holder

I didn't think it could be too tight. Oh wait...you're talking about turbos. Sorry.
