I was the thinking of ordering the Chip and 42lb injector combo from Turbo Tweak. I currently have an older Reds chip and stock injectors. This car will just be a cruiser. Probably wont hit the track much. But would like to get on it every now & then in the streets if needed and not sacrifice too much in gas mileage as it will be somewhat of a DD.

I was just curious if I upgraded just the chip only for now and do the injectors at a later date, will I need to upgrade that chip again for the new 42lb injectors (If I bought them both separately). I just keep hearing if I upgrade the chip it will run a lot better. Plus I have spent a fair amount of money to get it running a heck of a lot better that it is now. Also, I will be taking it to Nick here is AZ for a new exhaust cuz this one is shot and maybe a new downpipe. So just trying to see if this option on the chip is smart or not OR do I just spend the money and do both.

Thanks!

Yes, you will need to update the chip again if you change injectors. If you can swing it, it makes sense to buy a chip and injector combo now and be done with it. IMO, for $35 more 60lb injectors will work just fine with no downside even if you're mostly stock and it will leave you room to grow because if you're anything like the rest of us the mod bug will be hard to shake once you get a taste of it :)

DANG IT! U jus had to say only $35 more. LOL! Yeah, your right & it makes since. What I will prob end up doing then is just get it all running good with the chip it has now. Finish all the things I planned to do already. Then add the Chip & Injector combo a lil later. It does make since to do it all at once if I would have to update the chip anyway.

Thanks for the advice!

Talk to Nick see if he has any injectors laying around that he will part with.
Also, on a budget stand point the Pypes exhaust can't be beat. Especially with free shipping from Jegs.

GREAT IDEA! I didn't even think of that. Appreciated!

Nick may even have a combo from someone else's upgrade, which could include a turbo and slic! I was fortunate to purchase a te-60, 17 row slic , 42.5 inj., and chip for $800.00
