This may have been covered elsewhere but I don't recall ever seeing it. I just installed an LT1 MAF and a standard Translator. How do the adjustments in the Translator react with the Turbo Tweak chip? For example, if I add 10% fuel in the WOT setting on the Translator and 5% fuel in the TT chip, does the computer add 15% or does one override the other? Just curious on this. All of the dipswitches are set properly and the car runs great also. Thanks in advance!

Once the MAF reads 255 on the scan tool the Translator will no longer add fuel, do your WOT adjustment in the chip.
Mike

Also if you wish to take advantage of the full range of the LT1 MAF you will have to go with a Extender chip in order for the MAF to read beyond the 255.

If you had an Extender chip you'd be able to adjust wot with the Translator. They're a package. An awesome package. If you buy a Translator and don't use an Extender chip, you're not able to take advantage of all the Translator features that you payed for and you don't receive the features of the Extender chip.

Is there much difference (other than taking full advantage of the Translator) between the Turbo Tweak and the Extender? I have been very happy with the Turbo Tweak but this has me thinking about trying out the Extender chip. I know they are both great chips, what do you guys think between the two?

Brother mike just my two cents here I have both and love both you do a lot of adjustment with both the only reason I favor extender Extreem over the turbo tweak is that once the adjustments are made the TT chip if you loose battery voltage for any reason you start over and have to make all the adjustments again. With the extender box you turn the dials and they stay there and don't change unless you change them. With that being said I always keep both in the car and run them both at different times :-) both awesome chips would recommend both to anyone

I have not used the extendor chip but I really like the TT chip....unhooking the batery is no big deal to me once I get my settings where I like I write them down. Plus I like the fact that I can go for a drive...pull over and make a small adjustment and never have to get out of the car. I think it would irritate the hell outta me to pull over pop the hood and turn a dial just to increase/decrease fuel 10%

Never heard anything bad about either.

Campers has an extension harness so you can put it in the glove box or console exc don't have to get out just saying

The Extender has a feature called BLM correction. It allows you to richen or lean out the entire rpm band. This is good when you go from gasoline to E85 or the other way. You have a little over20% either way. This isn't enough movement to go from one to the other. That's where the Translator comes in. It has another 10% either way with the base fuel knob. The thing I like the most about the Extender is that it allows the maf to read true airflow and all of it. This means it will adjust, even when the air gets cooler or hotter.

The other adjustment that comes in handy is the base timing adjustment on the Translator. It advances or retards the timing throughout the entire RPM range. This is nice when going from E85 or high octane gasoline to 93 octane gasoline or the reverse. You always have the right chip for the situation.

The Translator box can be put inside the car.
