i was curious have a stock turbo on my car looking to upgrade in future what would be the best to go to. (size and manufacture) thanks

You're going to get a million different reponses. We can help you better if you tell us your performance goals, budget as well as current mods.

ah, right know siemens deka 3172 injectors 57lbs i think, 10 mm wires stock intercooler right know, want to go to front mount, voltage booster, 3.5 maf, translator plus, 4 inch big mouth, trans is stock want to put shift kit in it maybe a trans brk, torque i will have to upgrade with turbo, hot wire kit, with fuel pump upgrade, engine internals as far as i know are stock would like to upgrade heads. like to have high 10 to low 11 sec car, just starting to figure some stuff out. has a turbo tweak chip. i might of forgot some stuff.

I have similarish goals and I just ordered a gt6157 with the ball bearing center section which is supposed to work well with the stock converter. That's probably the smallest of the "latest and greatest" boosted turbos from pte that would meet your goals. It's also on sale from fullthrottlespeed.com until monday I believe. I haven't even got it yet so I can't comment as far as a test drive goes but I have high hopes.

My opinion, go a little bigger so you have room to grow into it. If its too much, you can always turn the boost down. For low 11/high 10's, my opinion is the 6776

I have heard unless the boost is cranked up to 20 or more lbs of boost this Turbo will not be any quicker then the TE-44 for a pump gas Turbo Regal.

It is a bigger turbo all together. It may put out a little more than you think at 20 lbs. But, yes its a big difference over 20#. At 15 or so, its pretty tame

I would rather have the performance on the street where I drive my car 100% of the time.Running 110 Octane at the track and then the 6776 may be worth it.I still don't think the 44's,49's can be beaten for the street(93 pump gas) and the money.

If you would rather have performance on the street, listen to the countless members. If you look in the PT67 install sticky in the top of this section, post #106, theres a video of a 6776 spooling up. If that doesnt spool enough for you...

TE44/49's are great turbos, no arguement, but for the power and performance, these newer turbos are awesome. I've changed my turbo 4 times in the past 4 years for "just a little bigger", and wish now that I would have listened to people when they told me to get something bigger and grow into it. I used to say I didnt need anything that big, or that my car would have a hard time spooling such a big turbo. Thats my lesson learned.
And as the post states, high 10's are going to be a lot harder to achieve with a 44/49 than it would with a 6776. Good luck with your ventures.

Don't get me wrong I want to go faster but I had a bad expierence with a 60-1 Turbo.I know the 6776 is newer Turbo Technology. As I am selling my Nitrous Big Block 1969 Camaro I may feel the urge to go faster.Does the 6776 spool just as fast as a TE-44???

I seen it very impressive.I just wonder how my car would act with that Turbo. My car right now spools about 5 times longer then the clip showed.
