Thats what people have said. I have a journal bearing and I use a 3400

may wanna provide what brand converter as converter stall ratings are not rated the same. for example my 3200 pats converter will only give me 2800 engine stall @ zero boost. after calling pats I was informed that they rate their converters for approximately 3-5# boost. after checking I found my cars rpms to be 3150 at 4#'s.

I think PTC converters are rated at zero boost.

Just trying to save you the time of having to change converters, good luck.

I doubt a 2800 would be enough for that turbo. I would think a 3000 would be a bare min. but it all depends on tuning and what you consider fast spool I guess.

I ran a PT 67 with a 3200 Art carr lock up. This was on iron heads and unported intake. It was acceptable on the street.I could build 4-5 PSI on the foot brake. I think he would have no issues with the given converter and a BB unit. Just my .02
