i have to agree equalizer, although i hate to be the person that is on the negitive side of lifes fence, but here how i see it with the engines i have built with a current tt sbc in progress. first off there is little out there in the form or sbc turbo parts, so all of the exhaust, intake, and such plumbing has to be hand made, and if your not a fabricator/welder or plan on being one, thats going to cost big money, headers alone will run ya a grand or so, another grand for the intake plumbing and so on. there are huge costs associated with hight output turbo car, its an easy 10,000 engine/trans combo, and i thought that i could get away with it cheaper, and i am a fabricator, and i got some smoking deals on rotating assy parts, but in the end they suck it out of you 300 dollars at a time. waste gates, conrollers, fuel injection, igniton, injetors, throttle body, modded intake, the turbo itself, fuel system, cooling, intercooler and that on top of a new tube car, its a project that is dauting to say the least. and like i have told many a freind before, if its your first, get ready to buy another, becasue all it takes is one milisecond of poor judgement, and you just bought the farm, but thats how i see it, i see alot of guys try, and then end up selling there stuff off, because of the walls they kept hitting, but if for some reason you hit a wall, shoot me an e-mail and i will do everything i can to help you.
